If the answer is yes, then the boys should be able to play on the girls team, right? After all, turn around is fair play.................

In theory. That's why schools have girls and boys . But softball isn't the same as baseball. If a girl wants to play, they need to allow. But that's not the same as saying a boy can play on the girls soccer team, or vice versa.

lmb, why? Big big can o worms when the first boys who get cut from a high school baseball team decide to play softball. Although high level fast pitch softball takes years of hard work to master. But, in a smaller conference it could be a huge problem.

Urban legend maybe, but there is a rumor Reggie Jackson HOF baseball player was challenged to hit an Olympic level softball pitcher. He swung and missed at 3 balls, then bought the video tape for 10 K to not embarrass himself.

So, you're going to sit on the couch all day, feeding your face cuz you're too stuffed to jump up and get a job, so you'll send your wife out to get one and bring home the bacon?

Why can't we just have boys and girls Baseball teams? The softball nonsense is silly.

While sex-integration sounds all neat and equal, I suspect that it will cause more problems than it would fix. Basic biologic differences cause the general rule that males are stronger and faster than females. Individuals can of course offset this. A female can be faster or stronger than some, or even most, males, but as a general sense it holds true, and it is pretty much shown that the strongest and fastest female is never as strong or fast as the strongest or fastest male.

So what happens if we have tryouts and based on speed and strength 80% of the boys are chosen and 80% of the girls are cut from the team? Will it be accepted, or is the next step to start some sort of affirmative action quota for positions on the team?
