Stop, drop and roll. Call work, tell them I won't be in until the roads are clear.

I just replace the tin foil hats in the Y2K bunker with the fur lined ones and I'm good to go.

Pull up the Topeka-Alma NEXRAD webpage.
Then pull up the NEXRAD Regional Composite. (Put on some tunes.) Pull up the US Fronts map. Wundermap for wind speed and directions.

Fill bird feeders, plug in bird bath heater.

Watch storm blow by and hammer downwind of us.

Make a cursory inventory of necessary supplies. And if it too late for that, walk to the liquour store. Oh, I make sure there is ice melt and my cinder blocks are readily available to put in the back of the truck. Move the snow shovel and brooms from the shed to the front porch. And finally, do an engine check on the neigbor's snow blower.
