What’s the best award you have ever received?

“The local-lover award. It means you support local businesses and an independent economy. ”
“I got the National Merit semifinalist, and I’m waiting to find out if I’m a finalist, so I guess that would be it.”
“I was most cheerful in the second grade. I got a ribbon and everything.”
“I got the National Merit Scholarship finalist so that was really nice.”

Before that it was Phi Theta Kappa & The President's List for Academic Achievement at JCCC & before that it was an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.

Most of my big awards have been self presented. However, the award I won last year for Lawrence Kansas Neighbor of the year, just stood out over all the rest. It was based on a post I put on a local article right here on LJW. I threw a big party and invited myself and my imaginary dog clifford. it was a great celebration for such great work.
