Yeah. It was a horse ride when I was a kid. I thought it was so funny when I heard a horse fart in front of me. And it was stinky, too.

Ever give the spousal unit a hug after you come in from the garden, then notice your hand prints on her bottom, but are too afraid to say anything?
I think she will have an interesting day in the field.

I have been on numerous fun and interesting trips. Field trips? No.

One year we did a staycation and day tripped every day. We went to the Ag Hall, the state historical society museum in Topeka, the Nelson, the Topeka Zoo (we liked it better than KC's). Abilene (and road the train, went to the Old West town and the Eisenhower museum), the Truman library, Liberty Memorial, the museums on the KU campus. There are just so many things to do and things to see. Even after vacation was over we spent the summer doing something each weekend. We went to Fort Osage and the Civil War museum at La Cygne. One Saturday we stayed up late and went to the Powell Observatory. Don't let anybody fool you that "there's nothing to do" in the area.

It's cute when the pre-schoolers go for a downtown walking field trip & they're all tied together like a little chain gang. They should dress 'em in black & white stripes & hats.
