"Sardines...with barbecue sauce" both me and my dad would eat
Off combinations of sauce when fishing to take the boredom of
    Waiting for a strike.

Krin, your peepers?

Paste was a good alternative to things like brussel sprouts and tuna-noodle casserole.

Anyone who says,"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels", has never tasted bacon....or chocolate.

Watermelon, the red-meat variety only. Yellow-meat watermelons are abominations.

Anyone who is my age-ish probably remembers deviled ham. So gross now and smells like dog food, but was all the rage back then!

RoeDapple 2 years, 6 months ago

Kinda wondered if it would go that direction . . .

Tried Tang back during the heady days when we were putting people in space. Nobody in the family cared much for Tang so it never became a standard part of the lineup.

Dill pickles. Also bean soup made with fifteen bean, bean mix and ham chunks. Served with hot cornbread and honey of course!

My fambly drank Tang like they wuzn't gonna makes it no more. Pappy's workbench had a coupla dozen Tang jar lids fastened to the underside of the upper shelf, the jars filled with nails & screws. 'Son, go grab me some finishing nails.' Where iz they, daddy?' 'Check the workbench. Third Tang jar from the left.'
