Anyone remember the horrible tasting gum that TOPPS sold with baseball cards? I hated the gum but loved baseball and collecting those cards. I even had a Mickey Mantle rookie card which would be worth some change today had my mother not thrown my cards away many, many years ago.

My fambly drank Tang like they wuzn't gonna makes it no more. Pappy's workbench had a coupla dozen Tang jar lids fastened to the underside of the upper shelf, the jars filled with nails & screws. 'Son, go grab me some finishing nails.' Where iz they, daddy?' 'Check the workbench. Third Tang jar from the left.'

Dill pickles. Also bean soup made with fifteen bean, bean mix and ham chunks. Served with hot cornbread and honey of course!

I just had a big pile of the candy of meat...bacon.

Tang was nasty back then. Give me grape juice or give me Kool-Aid.

Tried Tang back during the heady days when we were putting people in space. Nobody in the family cared much for Tang so it never became a standard part of the lineup.

I am a 60's child but don't recall space sticks. Do recall Tang. Speaking of, loved RI's comment about Tang, wins my comment of the day award

Anyone who is my age-ish probably remembers deviled ham. So gross now and smells like dog food, but was all the rage back then!

Watermelon, the red-meat variety only. Yellow-meat watermelons are abominations.

As a general rule, blanching is advised prior to cyrostorage. However if one can be reasonably sure they will consume said material within a short span of time it is not necessary. A couple of months at most.

Krin, your peepers?

Paste was a good alternative to things like brussel sprouts and tuna-noodle casserole.

Pizza - There was no such thing as a bad pizza; some were just better than others.
