...and of course, home-made is healthier because the the salt can be replaced by spices.

Roasted, salted pecans. I have extremely low BP so the salt feels justified.

It is indeed spicy! But the recipes I have read so far sound really good--there's a strawberry-basil-vodka lemonade recipe that makes me impatient for summer.

I guess I would have to say multi-grain or taco chips and salsa along with a diet cola. Is that healthy?? Not too bad, I suppose. I counted the healthy snacks listed out of 33 comments above., TEN

But then again, if one is eating a generally healthy diet, the odd unhealthy snack would not kill one.

That is more than just a little disturbing. As the standard bearer for what is decent and normal, I'm putting that on the uncomfortable list.
