Would you feel comfortable with your kids using Facebook?
Asked at Dillons, 3000 W. Sixth St. on February 19, 2012
“No way. There’s too much temptation.”
“I’m unsure — I don’t it myself. But it’s a whole different world, growing up today. ”
“I’d be OK with it, with an older age limit.”
“It’s OK for kids to be on it, as long as parents are supervising.”

Sure, I'd hook them up to be friends like the WBC. How could you go wrong with something as wholesome as a church?

All of your kids ARE using Facebook!

My kids have taken making me uncomfortable to unimaginable levels. Facebook? HA ! That's nothing! When they are together or with their mother there is no subject yhey will not discuss. After squirming in the chair for a few minutes I eventually get up and leave the room, followed by laughter and,"Whatsa matter Dad?".
Itsa conspiracy I tell ya . . .

My cat has trouble typing, let alone pressing that "like" button. So he isn't so into it. But thanks for asking.

My kid had to show me how to use facebook. The question should be, "do you feel comfortable with your Dad using facebook"? She would probably say no he'll clilck on something and screw up the computer.

Someone once told me never to click any link on The Facebook.

I would rather spend time teaching them how to use a fishing hook.

Too late, they've been on it for a few years. Grandpa is a Facebook friend and keeps a watch on them. Twitter, now that is a problem...

Better question, "Are your kids comfortable with your online persona?"

My kids coerced me into using facebook so it would be easier to keep up with each other.

That person is stupid and/or uses tin foil as a hat. Never click on a link if you do not know where you are going to end up is the proper advice.

Maybe I mis-interpreted that person.
It just seems like you end up at Huff-Po or porn, which are about the same in my book.

"Maybe I mis-interpreted that person. "
I'm easily mis-interpreted. Tends to happen when I get rambly.

I don't use the facebook or the twiiter. I'll agree with Autie today, believe it or not. I would like to know more about Huff-Po, whatever it is. I'm running out of spray paint. A virtual robotrip would be interesting.

Facebook uses people. Save the kids.

Jane (anonymous) says…
My children are young adults and are on facebook. The only thing I worry about is that it may suck up too much time, time that could be spent with real friends face to face doing real things. Thankfully facebook, like all things in their lives, are used in moderation. (I know, because I am on it too and they don't obsess on fb.)

Kids need to get their face in a book.
