Whereas I prefer mind numbing movies with tasteful car chases and abundant nudity.

Favorite "kind"... how does one answer?
More recent recallables include Memento, Gattaca, The Fountain, and Stay, but the rather dated Photographing Fairies and Islands in the Stream remain all-time favorites. So, what's the unifying element? Love stories?

Anything with Sean Penn.
He's the best actor there ever was.
Better then John Wayne.
Better than Gary Cooper.
Better than Jimmy Stewart.
Better than Clint Eastwood.
Better than Gene Hackman.
Better than Audie Murphy.
And, Sean Penn is the best friend of all mankind.

RoeDapple (anonymous) says…
Sean Penn? Hell, I'd rather view a pimple on a duck's butt. His semi-permanent snarl doesn't make him an actor, and when he does smile it's probably only because he passed gas.
