Are you enjoying the warmer than normal weather?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on December 2, 2012
“Yes, as long as it snows at Christmas.”
“Absolutely. I went on a run outside earlier today.”
“Yes because I’m from New Orleans, and it makes me feel closer to home. ”
“Yes. It’s a convenient truth.”

I would enjoy it, if it were just a one day anomaly. But I just see it as the continuation of a depressing drought, and a biome change. The southern planting season has already been pushed up north, and with no rain, there may be little reason to plant anything. Snow and cold. We need it soon.

Helped a guy re-scope his sporterized .303 Enfield yesterday. The old one had parts rattlin' in it. I happened to have a Tasco 6x-16x lying around so it is now back to work. There's a .303 that'll bring home some late season venison . . .

One should never, ever sporterize an old military rifle. Do they really hate history that much?

I got a small, get some meat in the freezer buck tonight with the 30-06 with a good scope. I still have an anterless tag left and I am thinking about taking one of the old military rifles out... wonder if I should go with the K98 Mauser, the Nagant, the Enfield, or the Airsaka.

This warm weather lately has been wonderful.
I was able to paint the places on my car where the paint has come off with Rust-oleum spray paint, and not only that, but I also used silicone sealant to stick the loose piece back on at the bottom of the windshield, and I even sealed up a couple other openings around the windshield too. That'll keep the rain out!
When you can do your car bodywork and painting outside in December here in Kansas, life is good!

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind.
