OK, ok already. I just got off the phone with the lady. She signed me up for next Thursday's volunteer initiation class. Are ya happy now? Oddly, I am. And that's all ima say aboutit cuz it's tacky to volunteer & then go around telling folks that you're a volunteer.. Like the Nike man sez - just do it.

Once, long ago. I was part of a church group that was helping to repaint a house in a lower-income area of KC. Long story made short, I ended up getting knocked off a ladder and cussed out by an extremely ungrateful homeowner. Haven't had much of an inclination to volunteer since then.
