I got asked to join a couple of survivalist groups back in the '70's. Told 'em I didn't have time to hate my fellow man so no thanks. Now I see they're calling themselves "Preppers". Only difference I see is they use aluminum foil instead of tin for their hats . . .

Co-ops & CSA's are cool. Stu Shafer, local educator, is involved with one. They grow yummy stuff.

I worked for Farmers Co-op in the '60's They went belly up. All Star Dairy in the '70's and '80's. They went belly up. A major truck line in the '90's and retired in '01. They went belly up.
Gee, aren't ya glad I didn't work for the government . . .?

Just how traditional? The first co-op started in 1498.
