" Six weeks if they are" Nike" three months if adidas; adidas are great running shoes far better than Nike; Nikes are uneven when running.

New Balance for me too. Only brand that doesn't hurt my legs/back right outa the box. three to five months. Work boots . . . been a while but 10 to 12 months. Hunting boots? Have several pair ranging from 10 to 30 years old, still in great condition. Always have cleaned and returned to box after each season.

Doesn't matter New Balance, NIKE, el cheapos generally 4-5 weeks then rotate to work shoes.

On the other hand used to wear really well built leather shoes for work. Had them re-soled and would get a good year out of those.

I've got a pair of Dehner boots that I bought in 1977 that I still wear once in a while. They've been resoled at least three times.

Depends how often I wear them.... but at least a year.

new dress shoes last anywhere from 10 to 25 years because I don't wear them very often. Work shoes I don't buy new. At present I have 2 used pair of crocs and they will last me about 3 years. Of course, when I am down and have to use the wheel chair, shoes don't get much wear at all.

WWHW? What would Hollis wear?

For myself, it's the same as what number3 sez about the dress shoes. Currently looking at the running shoes thinking I should've worn them out a long time ago. There was a time when I would've yawned at the efforts of Jesse's wife. Now, for me to run that many miles in a week would be a minor miracle.

Dress shoes = new white New Balance first 30 days, work and a$$ kickers next 60 days, garden for next year then tossed to the burn barrel after that. Neighbors always know when I have new dress shoes by the smell of the fire.

Would always buy NB for hubby at their store whenever he started hurting again at $120 a pop. Same model every time so if we wanted, all we had to do was call and they would ship them. This last time they didn't seem to help much so after two weeks I ordered a pair of Propet, recommended by a friend, which comes in wider sizes than NB. He really likes them and says they are more comfortable and a lot cheaper too.

funny autie, I was just in a real world conversation about a pair of shoes I purchased at Burlington Coat Outlet. Not fancy dancy, but in honesty feel much much better than the cost more than my first car worth shoes.

How many times should one be kicked off and reinstated anyways? He brought it on himself. He knows the rules. Good job LJW!

boxers_or_briefs 6 years, 8 months ago

If that's the case, he'll just be coming back with a new user name without asking.

My suggestions: Zimmerman or Duluth.

Katara 6 years, 8 months ago

Sounds like a new OTS.

I would suggest BooBooKitty or Schmookykins for a a change of pace.

My advice is to always use odor-absorbing inserts and replace them when necessary; the dress/casual shoes will last until the soles wear out. Also, fresh shoe polish will not hide the blood stains from Luminol.

I've been removed 14 times. My favorite name was Arschloch...until someone read too much into it.

My Payless shoes used to last around 6 months until the soles literally blew out the bottom. The last pair I bought at the beginning of July literally are worn out through the bottom at my big toes. 3 months? that's $5 a month for this pair of clearance shoes....practically garbage, but they weren't anything fancy, so whatever. A pair I paid $2.50 for lasted about 4 months before they got too stinky to wear....what a steal.

My hunting boots are somewhere between 35-40 years old, but after each season they get a good cleaning and water proof oil before going back in the storage cabinet, every day shoes maybe six months to one year

I'm skivvyless & ready to roll. Not really all that comfy - to quote Cosmo Kramer, 'My boys need a house.'

Dust off your camo-boots & storm the virtual Bastille!

H_Lecter, I think I can safely speak for...uh, well, only myself when I say no to a Hollis reincarnation. I want a current carnation - preferably a red one in his lapel while he regales with tales of how that came to pass. Does Ms. Crump use Wednesday afternoon for admin stuff like the rest of 'em? Mebbe we could talk outa school then & figure a plan.

I buy so many different pairs of shoes for other people's growing feet that when I buy myself shoes they have to last me at least 2-3 years. I have been thinking about buying myself some new work shoes but with the holidays coming up I think I'll just wait. Ugh, I hate being a responsible adult!!

David Roberts 6 years, 8 months ago

I wear shoes until I can stick a finger through the hole in the bottom of the shoe.

beatrice 6 years, 8 months ago

Of course Jesus didn't wear shoes.

He wore sandals.
