@Original_Bob No offense intended, though I'll likely go back to posting at midnight after today.

No warm climate wintertime vacation for me, so, no, not too excited. We needs us some rainy days before winter sets in.

But maybe by the time the snow falls and the fireplaces are warmed up, the fb season will be over and Turner Gill will be Turner Gone!

Remember when the New Orleans Saints were so bad that the fans wore sacks on their heads at the games... maybe we could get a movement to do the same thing at the last home game in Lawrence...

I've made snowboots for the lemurs and taught them how to make hot toddies. Should be an interesting winter.

I have a 50 mile commute. I finally broke down and got a 4x4 truck this year, so hopefully I won't have to spend any nights at the power plant (or at least nights that I am not paid for).

I love to cross-country ski around the foothills of eastern Kansas. "Ski Mount Blue!"

Are there statistics that show the odds of me breaking an artificial hip as opposed to the one I was born with if I fall while shoveling snow? And why don't they put a grease zerk in artificial joints? This cold weather sure makes my bionics ache . . .

Maybe I could load a nail gun with a zerk, shoot you in the hip, and see if that helps.

It never snows on the first forecast. Never.

I'm not sure if winter ever gets "excited" in a traditional sense but, if it does, can't it do so for its own danged self and selfish reasons?~)

Excited, maybe winter will drive that Brownbackistan hiree SRS clown Siedlecki back to Florida. Hope he gets his man-citrus frosted!

Considering it's not even six weeks into Fall, NO. If it's a Winter like we had back in the late 80s--when the temp was often in the 60s and 70s in January--then SURE.

Once a pediter, always a pediter. You can't beat that out of 'em.

I do want rain and snow, I do hate being out in freezing weather, shoveling snow. Don't mind watching it snow from a nice warm spot. So not excited, just Fall sad. Waiting for spring.
