So I looked at that picture of the truck and at first glance thought the writing said "McGyver" ....ha...not hardly. If that was the case the kid would have flipped the truck back over with a piece of duct tape and a bic pen.

Hey, does repeated cutting and pasting cause any serious hormonal damage?

I was just there. My fault. I was driving home from the tavern with no shirt on and one leg hanging out the window. The guy was staring at me and flipped his truck. Sorry.

"Christ, is today Earth Day? I thought it was on a Saturday. I thought it was last Saturday. Wasn't that the OTS question last Saturday" HOllis

I was wondering the same things. I thought it was last Saturday. And then I thought it was on 4/20. Then I just figured they moved it to this Saturday because 4/20 fell on a weekday. And now I find out it is today. Baffling.

My parents dragged me there one year when I was a kid. My mom liked it because some pole vaulter got his shorts caught on the bar and they came off. She talked about that for years. I staggered in one year when I was at KU. Never been back. I am not really into track.

Do you think this is good or bad for business.

A 21-year-old Lawrence man was cited for driving too fast for conditions after an accident at 10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Kasold Drive and Clinton Parkway. Sgt. Matt Sarna, a Lawrence police spokesman, said the driver, identified as John Michael McGrew, lost control of the 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck at 10:20 a.m. as he was headed south on Kasold Drive. The truck spun and hit the northern inside curb on Clinton Parkway, which caused the vehicle to flip over. The driver had a small cut on his hand but did not require medical attention, Sarna said. No other vehicles were involved.

Unless the driver's name is on the truck, he may find a situation of having a lot of time on his hands real soon.

I usually have morning wood. Christ, is today Earth Day? I thought it was on a Saturday. I thought it was last Saturday. Wasn't that the OTS question last Saturday? Alright look, I've had it with this. I'm gonna hit the loo, lay one down, and go for a walk to cool off. I'll be at Cross Town Tavern if you need me.

2nd give = gift

As in "I give the gift of wood on every Wedding Anniversary, Sundays, and Thursdays too"

Just the 5th? I give the give of wood on every Wedding Anniversary, Sundays, and Thursdays too.

No but it would be nice to experience sometime. When is it? Happy Earth Day, Good Friday, and 5th Wedding Anniversary for my husband and I The traditional 5th anniversary gift is wood... you think if I make him a cross out of fallen tree branches I will have covered all three of the celebrations?

My older sister was the high school track person. I was the bored kid drug around to all of her meets that was wandering about the stadium trying to entertain herself at the Relays. There was some sort of relay that they did really good on. I went to lots of track meets and cross country races and stood there. I whined later in life that she never got drug around to my debate tournaments to watch. Ah, siblings...

I watched the guy from KC with gold shoes run real fast a few years back. Watch the shot-put on Wednesday too.

I hope birthday girl got what she wanted.

"The Birthday is over. so some of you boys can go back to your usual self. Get to work and quit screwing around...."

I already got disapearedededed today for something I repeated that RI said on the tofu thread. Didn't mean to.

A joke? Well, okay. Q: How was the Grand Canyon created? A: By a lawyer, digging for a nickel in the sand.

Speaking of Relays, since I'm so busy today, I think I'll go drop the bodies of dead indignents who have no assests for a funeral on top of feral hogs and immigrants from a helicopter. Then we can all come together and pray for the souls of all those who don't think like us and have been put on the Brownback Naughty List.

Well, Alessandro, welcome to Kansas. Now word up. You look like a young Matthew "Nekked Bongos" McConaughey in "Dazed and Confused". You'll do well here. Speaking of movies, I guess Natalie Portman is the new Terrance Howard/Don Cheadle. She's in just about every movie being made right now.

The Birthday is over. so some of you boys can go back to your usual self. Get to work and quit screwing around....You'll put your eye out.

I never made it to the Kansas Relays...they keep holding during crappie/morel season so I cain't go. But I did drive on I-70 to Denver a couple of times. Nothing like highway tag team with same bunch of idiots for 400 miles.

I used to go, but I got tired of sitting in the rain.

HollisBrown 2 years, 12 months ago

Bob, we're going to be great friends in the next life. If you and I had been in school together, well, I don't think we would have been in school much. I usually try to catch one day of the relays so I can bathe in the rain. It's my first bath since January. My next one will be June 12 at Potter's Pond around 10am. Be there.

Not since 1987, my senior year at KU. I had no idea what was going on. There was this big goon holding an iron ball, spinning around like he was drunk. I thought someone was supposed to tackle him, so I took the initiative. Man, was he pissed! He was chasing me around the field, but he kept slipping in the mud, so luckily he couldn't catch me. I got banned for life for some reason. Bunch of poor sports......

Boy you old people sure do remember Jim Ryan. I'm pretty sure he has a hot daughter, but it would be hell to date her. I heard you had to go to to a sit-down at the house with Jim, first. You have to pray with him, then talk about your intentions and what a good square you are. I wouldn't even make it to the front lawn.

I had a BSA Hornet that year. Who is Jim Ryun?

0

FSHSchamp2012 2 years, 12 months ago

All the runners are black, so, no.

I was on my way and received bad directions from some marathon runners: http://wellcommons.com/groups/wellnes...

So, no.

"What were you smokin? I was next to Jim Ryan the photog in 70 or 71. "

Probably marijuana. I wasn't into opium at that time. Never smoked crack or fancy French cigs.

Last time I attended the KU Relays....when my brother still ran for KU. So, seven years ago? Something like that......wish I had the time to check it out!

"i rode my old Triumph Bonneville to Lawrence in the early 70s i think and pulled up next to the fence at the south end of the stadium just in time to watch Jim Ryun run a sub 4 minute mile."

That's a cool story. My interactions with KU athletes was not as cool. My freshman year, I watched Chris Mamaluga (sp) drive through shrub rows trying to kill my buddies who had shot his back window out (Jeep Cherokee) with a water balloon launcher that was stationed in the Robinson parking lot aimed at Naismith Hall. Since I wasn't invovled, it was highly entertaining. Those dudes feared for their lives the rest of the semester because Mamalanga was dating a chick at Naismith.

I miss college.
