Wednesday night is my favorite night for t.v. There are so many great shows on, thank goodness for our DVR so I can tape them all and watch them throughout the week when the kiddos are in bed. Okay here's my list of can't miss shows and I know it will show my IQ level but I'm okay with that. The Middle, Modern Family, Cougartown, Criminal Minds, Top Chef, Destination Truth, The Ultimate Fighter, and yes sadly The Real World/Road Rules Challenge..... then there is also Big Love and True Blood on HBO..... True Blood comes back in June like a week after I have the baby and I'm ALMOST as excited about that show as I am about the baby.

I think I may take an art class in Celeveland Miss.

The new show America the Story of Us is pretty good. Too much content and not enough time to really lay out context of events. But good watching. And I miss Coach. That show just really cracked me up.

I have to admit it. I am a HGTV junkie. Love House Hunters, My First Place and Property Virgins.

This season I am hooked on "V." I was a big fan of the 1980s miniseries so I was a little leery of it at first but now I am hooked.

Can't miss TV? Well you can avoid it as it falls the thirty stories to the ground below and explodes. I am not that great an aim yet.

As far as programming goes; they always seem to miss so I can too.

Otherwise, Match Game '73!

spacehog, you need to blow up your TV, throw alway you paper; move to the country then build you a home; plant a little garden, have a lot of children and raise 'em on peaches. Then you can find Jesus on your own......thanks J.P.

I watch TV. I admit it. Although I love this shows, I do occassionally miss an episode. DVR is great!
Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI-NY.
And history channel.

Whatever sports is on at the Free State Brewery.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

Thanks, Sw33tKatt!! I actually missed the last episode and that website looks really cool. The thing I loved about Norman Lear, and I was about 9 when I started watching "All in the Family" and his other shows, was he addressed so many taboo subjects(racism, bigotry, gayness) and put it right in our living rooms. We finally had to confront the fact that America is not "Leave it to Beaver", although I've always been somewhat of an Eddie Haskell. The Bob Newhart Show , Mary Tyler Moore, The Jeffersons, The Carol Burnett Show. All classics.

0

RETICENT_IRREVERENT 3 years, 11 months ago

What night have they moved Firefly to? I can't seem to find it.

0

meggers 3 years, 11 months ago

somedude20,

They do show All in the Family on TV Land. I agree, great show.

Some other shows it would be cool to see again: WKRP in Cincinnatti, Welcome Back Kotter, Barney Miller, Baretta, The Bob Newhart Show (the original, not the one set in Vermont...although Larry, Darrell, and Darrell were pretty funny), Mary Tyler Moore, Sanford and Son (I think that one might be on TV Land, too)...and just for kicks, The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Why don't TV shows have catchy theme songs, anymore? What's up with that?

0

asbury 3 years, 11 months ago

Nothing. I could live without TV forever. I only go to it when I need some "mind numbing". I will admit though, that there are some interesting informative educational programs....So while "numbing" whatever is troubling me at the moment, I can usually learn somthing....Learned all about "Stealth Submarines" the other day... Kinda scary.

0

somedude20 3 years, 11 months ago

I loved "All in the Family" and the "Archie Bunker" show but they can not show it anymore as it would be rated R. How can something so popular that was already shown on TV never be seen again? Stinks....Meathead!

0

The_Original_Bob 3 years, 11 months ago

Thanks, Hog. I'll probably get around to just renting it so I can figure out what is going on.

Chopped, Project Runway, Top Chef

Anything with Mike Rowe in it or narrated by him!

0

Multidisciplinary 3 years, 11 months ago

Haven't had real tv for almost two years now, but Breaking Bad was definitely about it as far as my 'one' show. Otherwise, it was IFC, old movies, channel flipping since I'm never paying attention to it anyway. It's amazing, the amount of crap out there in the world that I do 'not' need to find out about via the boob tube.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

I kinda like the CH. 6. Towercam. Sometimes I drop a couple tabs of lightning and watch it all day. You know that microwave tower? I lived in that thing last summer.

0

meggers 3 years, 11 months ago

Dexter, Nurse Jackie, The United States of Tara, Top Chef, Chopped, Washington Journal, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Treme, The Colbert Report....not that I watch all that much TV ;)

0

autie 3 years, 11 months ago

uh...yeah..that episode of COPS with sank4ever....turned out it had such an extensive cast that is is still in pre-production. I heard they couldn't get Wilfred Brimley for the judge and Tommie Lee Jones wanted too much money to play the sheriff.

0

TheGreatOz 3 years, 11 months ago

I cannot miss "NCIS" or "Criminal Minds."

0

ferrislives 3 years, 11 months ago

House, Caprica, NCIS, and Chopped. I also enjoy John Stewart and Colbert from time to time.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

BTW, you can get the first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad at the library. The waiting list is pretty long right now. I only really started following it this season so I have some catching up to do.

0

There is nothing on tv that I can't miss.

"Still waiting for the "Cops" episode with sank4ever, her husband and all their relatives"

Ha!

Breaking Bad is an awesome show. I just can't ever remember when it is on. Sons of Anarchy is pretty good also, but I have the same issue with remembering to watch it.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

I love porn, too. Why else would I watch Fox News?

0

CWGOKU 3 years, 11 months ago

I seldom watch network TV, but I do like House and Fringe. I like Family Guy and South Park too.
I know Andini never misses Glee.

Real Housewives of Jefferson County.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

Actually, you don't have to watch any reality shows. You get the highlights every week on The Soup. Joel McHale is the coolest. Like me, he really loves Ryan Seacrest.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Bruce Jenner's mom is sexy. And I LOVE all reality shows, especially Jersey Shore. Such creativity. One more reality show and I'm gonna go Elvis on my T.V., if Roe will give me the key to the vault.

0

The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Need humor.

0

spacehog 3 years, 11 months ago

Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad, and Breaking Bad. And every episode of The Office, over and over again. And the classics. Andy Griffith Show, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Good Times, Gilligan's Island, Johnny Sako and His Flying Robot, and Speed Racer. Anything except MASH or anything with Alan Alda. And Norman Lear was a genius.

0

trinity 3 years, 11 months ago

absolutely agree, kantubek-Breaking Bad. that is one incredibly great show! i have to throw big bang theory in there too-love it! oh-and amazing race. oh my gravy! :)

Sanford & Son followed closely by Cops. My day aint complete until I watch my 2 favorite shows.

0

RoeDapple 3 years, 11 months ago

Can't miss TV? Quite a few of them actually. That's one of the reasons the guns are kept in the vault.

0

Donnuts 3 years, 11 months ago

Masterpiece Mystery? Is that the thing they film in Baldwin as part of a sleepover Bed and Breakfast solve the mystery thing yourself while you see an old Baldwin house? No? Okay well me? I catch Joel McHale and the soup as much as I can. It is easy because Friday nights we have off. 60 minutes used to be. That was way back when but I don't watch much TV. I just don't think it that great for a person.
