When I was in that part of the world several years ago I tried following the race, but I couldn't keep up. Now that I'm back in shape I'd like to try again.

TDF? Naw.

A bunch of American tourists were hissed and stoned yesterday in France but not until they had finished buying. (Will Rogers)

Greatest bicycle movie ever -- The Triplets of Belleville.

Seriously. Animated, intelligent, funny as all get out dealing with bicycling and the differences between France and America.

I always wondered how those guys can ride with all the traffic driving so close to them while they're competing. Is it really necessary for the crowd, and all the support vehicles to be that close to the competitors ?

The only "tour" of France I follow is watching old war movies when we "Toured" through France in M4 Shermans

Those helicopter shots are a great way to take a quick vaca to France without flying and spending all that money.

I was wondering what type of beer went with watching French bicycle races. Seems more of a wine and cheese sort of crowd. Then it dawned on me: Fat Tire.

Awesome. Now I can watch!

I do a little; it is continuous for a month. I can keep score or understand under the peloton and time out the red dotted king of the mountain and the yellow overall leader but I don't sit on it everyday. The show helicopter view of some beautiful architecture. So I do suppose that the Tour de France is my cup of tea. I would have cycled a tour of France in college they had it on the board in my french class for a thousand dollars. I never did it and probably won't although I cycle about 20 miles a day.
