I agree with you Spacehog.I'm about 10 yers older than you. My senior year in High School, we got the new IBM Selectric electric typewriters and thought they were the coolest thing. I still don't own a cell phone and don't plan to. Anyone who needs me knows where to find me. I don't need to be that accessible to anyone. I remember when there were only three channels period and occasionally you might have to adjust the rabbit ears in a storm. I'm very quick at math in my head (which totally amazes the grandkids) and they were the ones who taught me how to use the computer.

ok so maybe the populous will go blind or at the very least have to get coke-bottle bottom glasses. the opti-grab is a handy invention. :)

I had a chance to watch some football and basketball on Sony's 4K digital 3D last March and it was incredible. Once you see a game in 3D you will not want to watch it any other way. It is truly like watching from the stands/sidelines.

I agree with Samantha, it will become the new standard.

Cheerio is right, once you watch 3D programming it will be hard to go back to standard tv.

I thought 3D failed back in the 80's. If it was a bad idea 25 years ago, why are they trying to ram it down eyeryone's throat again?

I could see it gaining popularity for certain applications...like action movies...3D porn could be interesting...but there's no way in hell I'm going to put special glasses on every time I want to watch TV. That's just silly.

I'm in the same boat as TOB...I don't even have HD. I've seen plenty of it, but I'm not that impressed. It just makes everything look like a porno.

I've heard that HD is the third leading cause of smug.

CWGOKU I'm with you. Found a box of tapes at the Mile High Flea Market last fall. I think I keep the 8 track in my old Chevelle just to annoy my kids. So Lo-Tech they don't want to drive it.
