Kansas is not one of the states that the recalled eggs were shipped to, and I live in Kansas. I will continue to eat eggs. I had a delicious omlet at First Watch Monday.

Sorry misterlee, you are incorrect. The recall has been expanded and now includes Kansas. http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/new-economy/2010/0821/Egg-recall-brands-Add-these-five-to-egg-recall-list

I hadn't heard of the expansion, but I don't regret the omlet, and I plan to eat the eggs I have in my refrigerator.

Nope, because I don't get my eggs from a store, I buy them from a friend's family who lets their chickens run around in a yard and eat bugs, just like our chickens did when I was a kid. They are gooo-oood!

I feel uninformed about this egg recall. I'll have to read up on it as I finish eating my eggs.

Eggs don't kill people; irresponsible egg owners kill people!

trinity - The commercials on the tv keep telling me that happy cows come from California. Now I know from your comment that happy chickens come from Kansas.

I don't know why, but for some reason I trust our local grocery stores to pull any of the eggs that might be tainted off the shelves so I can't even purchase them. Eggs don't stay in our fridge longer than a couple weeks anyway. I like eggs.. but they don't like me.

When eggs are outlawed, only outlaws will have eggs.

just read that deli meat from walmart is tainted as well: http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/08/24/meat.recall/index.html?hpt=T2

A chicken is merely an egg's way of making more eggs.
scopi_guy 2 years, 9 months ago
I would have done that just from seeing one in person.

I only eat songbird eggs, and I get them from various trees around Clinton Lake, so they aren't contaminated.

People who eat eggs worship at the temple of Onan.
Grammaton 2 years, 9 months ago
Unless the egg has been fertilized, eating it doesn't equate to killing something.
Pywacket 2 years, 9 months ago
They're fine if they're cooked thoroughly... No reason to panic.
Our little home flock should start laying within a few more weeks, anyway. They are spoiled but it's worth it. I just took them some kitchen scraps a while ago and they were very appreciative.
