Would you rather donate your money or your time to a worthy cause?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on April 9, 2010
“Time…it goes further and it means more.”
“Time, it’s easier and faster.”
“I would like to donate my time. I can be more hands-on and interact with people that are in need.”
“Probably money just because it’s easier”

Neither. I usually just click on facebook groups to pretend like I'm helping.

I'm all for volunteering, but how do you figure that one, Mark?

You can’t take it with you and you know that it’s too worthless to be sold. They tell you, “Time is money,” as if your life was worth its weight in gold

I'd much prefer a worthy cause, yes.

Where is the third, and highly popular, option? It is much easier to donate other people's money.

Mr. Kealing: What's with all of the pop-ups? Every time I click a link it shoots one up at me. No fun at all.

Yes...the pop-ups are annoying.
As for the question....I guess whatever I have more of at the time. You have to really care about something to give your time (which to me is worth more than money).

It depends. If the charity needs money, and I have any to spare, then i will donate money. But if the charity needs time, then i will try to donate time.

Or...? What's the other option?

Time and energy.
Not always so but since poverty pimping has gotten so ingrained, it's become the only way for me.

I guess that could be considered time and energy :)

Depends. What is the project?
If I'm helping out with something like LINK, then time, I like talking to people and helping out. If we're talking about cleaning out the men's bathroom at the shelter, then holy heck...money. I'll even go to Walmart and buy the supplies.
