"And just how do you get around the Marine Mammal Act of 1972?" RI
Keep asking questions and see what happens.
Autie - My new club is awesome. Been practicing on the moles and possums in the yard. Do you have your ticket to Alaska yet? I can't wait for our annual clubbing.

It is a long story. But it involves early French fur traders and my cousins from north of Nova Scotia that are Inuit descendents. TOB, I was thinking we'd try up around Greenland this year. And that possum fat is just great but it doesn't have the omega 3 fatty acids like the harp seals. Bob, did you get a real Hakapik or are you still into using a Louisville slugger?
The_Original_Bob (anonymous) says…
Real deal, Autie. The grip is amazing. The club is built as such that I have never had a better follow through on a swing. Greenland if fine. Wherever. Just let me at some veal seal.

Buttered or caramel.
NOOOOO seal fat or whatever you two are clubbing.

Pop the corn in baby seal fat. Delicious. Give me movie style buttered popcorn with extra butter and salt. Wait, if you use baby seal fat, is there sea salt in there already?
Just wondering.

I think that is code for "I ain't gots no job".

I find it a good vehicle for butter.
Autie, Bob, before you guys start stacking harp seals up like cord wood at the bunker you need to do something about last year's provisions. I can only consume so much and an empty keg or two does not make a lot of space.
honeychild (Mel Briscoe) says…
has anyone ever had garrett's popcorn in chicago? i hear its much better than topsys.
sgtwolverine (anonymous) says…
autie, I thought "entrepreneur" was code for "my job isn't legal."

Honeychild,
This question made me immediately think of Garrett's... it is awesome. I've never had Topsy's, so i can't compare.
jonas_opines (anonymous) says…
Autie, just remember you can't take it back for a refund.

Smoked Paprika & Parmesan Popcorn...spray butter or olive oil, smoked paprika, salt & grated parmesan cheese.....yum!
For something really different...Chile Lime Tequila Popcorn...butter, lime juice, lime zest, tequila, jalapeno, black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper flakes, cumin.
Sometimes spray butter & nutritional yeast.
Spritz with spray butter & sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
And always, regular popcorn...spray butter w/salt.
Frequently when I'm brousing the kitchen looking for something to snack on, what I'm really wanting is "crunch". So I use popcorn to fulfill that craving.

I never would have thought of putting honey in the butter... that sounds pretty good... may have to give that a go.
