Just the usual one in my front yard.
The_Original_Bob (anonymous) says…
I just sit out in the yard and watch the neighbors throw their money away. Good stuff.
Luthier?

ok, will someone please fill me in on what a "luthier" is? yes i am too lazy to look it up myself. :)
lol blue, same here-i'll be attending one at my house-and watching some of the crazy folk that live a few blocks away blow stuff sky high! they really put on a great impromptu show!

I will be working the Kid Rock/Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at Sandstone on the 4th. There should be a big fireworks display when the concert is over.

Trinity -
A luthier is someone who works on stringed instruments. I learn something new every now and again.

Just going to sit on my porch and watch the neighborhood sky. It's usually a pretty good show.

Big fireworks in my hometown with granddaughter and son and DIL. Since I was small, for 4th of July the firement have always shot one off about every five minutes, we all ooh and aah and honk, then wait for the big finale at the end. Love it!! There will be turtle races, money hill (sand full of coins), duck races, neighborhood parade. And lots of time with family!

Back to the river!! After the Royals game, of course.

A Luthier is a fallen away Lutheran, similar to a recovering Catholic.
prospector (anonymous) says…
It would not be pretty if there are big fireworks. I have to attend a small wedding . She wanted a date that would be easy to remember and an occasion celebrated by all.
Gootsie, What is a DIL?
Have fun and try not to bring too much of that red dirt back with you.

dajudge~ If a luthier is a fallen-away Lutheran, does that make a fallen-away Catholic a catheter? ;-)
snap~ If you can't get the wrappers (trousers) removed before the fireworks go off, you might need to DEPEND on some protective gear.
Not sure where we'll watch fireworks. Earlier in the day, I'll be volunteering (got roped in) at the local bike goings-on. Bike races for kids, etc... Glad the temps have eased up some.

Who else has seen "Anvil! The Story of Anvil"?
RETICENT_IRREVERENT (Ronaldo Ignacio) says…
Mr. Gilchrist,
nope, rockumentary about the group Anvil.
Not much of a commercial success, but they rocked solid balls of awesomeness when performing live.

Hey guys, me and momma caught some really nice bass this morning. Brought home a basket full for supper. Just dug potatoes yesterday. Gots fresh onions and peppers from the garden....Guess what we be eating tonight.
schula (anonymous) says…
Autie -- sounds good! How long will it take me to drive down for dinner with you?
Pywacket (anonymous) says…
How was it, Autie? Sad to say, we haven't done any fishing in quite awhile. Getting lots of bounty from the garden, though.

Please note.
My earlier comment asking "Isn't Gootsie the one who has an STD?" (which someone suggested removal and it was) was in reference to her own previous comment using the very same STD. That is how she refers to her step daughter. I was tying the DIL with the STD, not making a rude comment. Gootsie has a history of abbreviating her family. I would not insult Gootsie, I was just replaying her own comment.
Here is the link to the LJW search for the many comment also using her same STD comment.
I suggest who ever suggested removal needs to learn their LJW comment history.
