"(Or they just wouldn't take me seriously)"Introspective this morning Tom?As much as i enjoy serving the public, I wouldn't subject myself to that level of public scrutiny. Too much innuendo from people who know nothing about you...

I would but I have a past that would come back to haunt me.

Only if the aliens were landing, the leaders were dead, and the people needed someone to rally around.

jonas_opines 6 years, 3 months ago

. . . not that I'm sure I'd be a good rallying point. Demagoguery(sp?) is not my particularly strongest suit.

rusty2 6 years, 3 months ago

not in this town - i am not a member of the Chamber of Commerce. no rubber stamp in my back pocket.

rusty2 6 years, 3 months ago

LOL jonas! that's a good one.have you seen the saucers yet?

Chris Ogle 6 years, 3 months ago

Running??? Sorry, I would rather start at the finish line, and walk.

jonas_opines 6 years, 3 months ago

rusty2: The saucers were an out-dated model from the late 60's and 70's. I hear that they've upgraded to more of a Star Destroyer type shape in the recent years.

jonas_opines 6 years, 3 months ago

multiD: I rather resent that. The saucers don't show up until at least dinner. I teach after lunch.

jonas, former schoolteacher Laura Roslin thinks you would be a fine leader in time of crisis. As for running for office ... no, I'm not slick or charming enough to do that.

My first act as President will be to kick out all states that start with "M". The per-capita IQ of the the nation would rise considerably and common sense factor would also greatly increase.

I ran for treasurer when I was in high school. Alas, I lost. Kind of ruined it for me. :(

I would rather be a "back room politician." I worked with DC for a while, and the people with all the power and all the money never actually held office. They did everything behind the scenes. If you got to know them pretty well, you came to realize they just laughed at the people stupid enough to actually run for office.

only if i get some Deciphera stock on the side?

rusty2 6 years, 3 months ago

NO i missed the chance to have a degree in Journalismand become a spokesmen for the military-industrial complex like Senator Pat Roberts.NO i wouldn't be able to lie while directly looking at cameras and tell you that my 'intelligence reports' on WMD and the Bush adminstration were accurate.
