Perhaps it is time to put this issue before voters this spring. The ballot is there. All that is necessary is to put the questions on the existing ballot at no extra cost to taxpayers.Give the taxpayers an opportunity to decide on whether or not they would rather have the route choice moved, thus moving the project along far more quickly.Isn't it time to show taxpayers some respect? How many citizen tax dollars are we talking about at todays cost? How many Douglas County tax dollars will be consumed by this project? How many local tax dollars is the 31st project going to consume? How many local tax dollars will the new sewage treatment plan consume?Should eastside taxpayers be expected to fund south and west side growth? NO not at this spending rate.It has been difficult for me to understand why the real estate community is always eager to spend our tax dollars thus increasing taxes. Why do voters continue to vote this industry into public office?

Can't narrow it down to a date. However, it will be in the dark, due to the sun burning itself out.

It will be completed after it is realigned to go south of the river. All the money spent on lawsuits could have easily paid for the extra two miles of pavement.

Is when hell freezes over already taken?

Likely the same days as when cows fly!!!! This issue is a complete embarrassment to our community. There is no excuse for this trafficway still being an issue, but in Lawrence, we never seem to be able to make good decisions. We have no building codes; can't seem to get 23rd street lights synchronized......so who would think we could make a decision to move this trafficway forward??

We could at least turn the bridge to no-where into a homeless shelter. For a few million, we could add heating and AC.
