Still stuck on yesterday's OTS. As for today, a teacher with discipline but appreciation for a kid that honestly tries. Wilbur "Nanny" Duver was one of the the most famous, feared, and respected gym teachers and coaches in history. I was lucky to have his class the last few years before he retired. He liked jocks, which I definitely wasn't. I was a shy, scrawny kid, but I really tried, and believe me, he knew if you were faking or not . We got along fine. I ran into him at McDonalds a couple years before he died. He still remembered me and we had lunch together. They don't make men like that anymore. Same goes for C.E. "Chuck" Holley, another mentor and dear friend from CJHS.

For her to be compassionate and understanding and explain to the level that needs to be explained when one doesn't understand the material.
