Would you like to take a walking tour of downtown Lawrence?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on May 4, 2008
“Yeah, that would be interesting. I like history, and I know this is a very historic town. All I know is where all the good restaurants are, but I’d like to know more about the architecture and history of the buildings.”
“No. That seems kind of boring to me. I think I’ve lived here too long for it to be very interesting.”
“No, not really. I think people should discover for themselves what there is to learn around downtown.”
“Yes. I went to grad school here, and I know there is a lot of historical information that I never had time to learn about. And I think it would be great for the parents of students to learn about it.”

I wish I could, I was raised in Lawrence. I moved away in 1969, I imagine there has been many changes since I left.

Courtney sounds boring to me.

I don't walk downtown anymore because there are people outside smoking. They should be smoking in the bars they came out of.

Oh, boy--it's starting to look like rain! I want a tour of those swim-up bars. MD, you with me?

Multidisciplinary.. From what I've seen, a "good place to go" is wherever there is a planter on Mass. st.

I walk downtown often. walking tour would be nice. BR above is correct, with the smoking ban, now walking around downtown is rather irritating because of the clouds of smoke you have to negotiate. please, can't we quit forcing smokers outside, so that us nonsmokers can avoid the smoke?

An historic tour of downtown would be an exercise in ADD. The tour guides will need hour-by-hour updates on their Blackberries to keep up with the closures and new openings of businesses.
