“‘A Year in Provence,’ by Peter Mayle. It’s a hilarious book about an English couple who moves to France to renovate an old farm house using local French laborers.”
“‘Snow,’ by Orhan Pamuk. It takes place in Turkey and it’s about a man who travels to a remote city to cover a suicide epidemic of Muslim women.”
“‘My Dinner of Herbs,’ by Efrem Zimbalist Jr. He was the star of the ‘77 Sunset Strip’ and ‘The F.B.I.’ series, and it’s kind of an overview of his life and career.”
“Right now I’m in the middle of ‘Anna Karenina,’ by Tolstoy. I decided to read it for fun. You have to read the classics, but it’s taking me longer than I expected.”
“‘Running with Scissors,’ by Augusten Burroughs. It’s about this kid whose parents are going through a divorce, and his mother ends up letting her psychologist adopt him.”

Pria, fellow. who wrote that book, you? We are not a country of lazy cowards. But then, come to think of it, I would rather have a country of cowards than a country of idiots who don't weigh the consequences and just jump in feet first. Did you know that it oft times takes more courage to say no? No, I'll bet you did not know that.

pria - when you finish living up to your name, you might want to read this book. The Shia Revival: How Conflicts Within Islam Will Shape The Future by Vali Nasr, professor of Mid east studies at the Naval Graduate School in Monterey, California. You might get some insight into what it is all about.
