What is the last thing you did to help someone in need?

“Last Christmas I helped out at LINK with a couple of buddies as part of our Bible study class.”

“I always try to give money to people in need, whether it be on the street or during the holidays.”

“The last thing I did was give a little kid a dollar in quarters to ride the carousel at the Antique Mall.”

“I donate canned foods at concerts. They let you bring some canned food or pay a cover, but it all goes to charity.”

“At Wakarusa Fest last weekend, we gave some hippies a ride to where they needed to go.”

“I gave a homeless guy who was trying to get to Colorado $5 when I was downtown. It felt pretty good.”

“Over spring break, I did a three-day project where we slept outside in tents and volunteered helping the homeless at the Salvation Army and other organizations. At the end, we attended a Planning Commission meeting on the Lawrence Community Shelter renewal.”

“I helped a younger student with some personal problems she'd been having, because I could relate to her problems from my experiences when I was her age.”
