“No, because I think that Sherron deserves to start. He’s an all-around good player and he has good chemistry with the other starters, but I will miss Russell Robinson.”

“No. It’s not that we don’t need him; it’s just that we have other talent that will support the team. He’s not our only ace in the hole. Sherron will pick up his slack.”

“I’m going to have to say no. As much a part of the team as he is, and not to downplay Iowa State, I think we’ll be just fine.”

“We have them at home, so it shouldn’t be a problem. The way we’ve been playing lately, spreading the points around and not depending on one or two players, they should be OK.”

I think Russell Robinson's injury might hurt 'his' chances of getting as much playing time when he gets well.

Sherron Collins rocks!

YES it DOES hurt our chances!! Now we are only 98% sure we can beat ISU by 25 points, down from 99% before the injury.

O-Bob: Collins himself said he didn't want to screw up the teams chemistry by changing to a starter. While Robinson doesn't have Collins rediculous scoring ability, he's a good focal point for our offense to run around, like Miles was.

But the chemistry right now is Collins off the bench. Hopefully, he can handle the starting job today, but should it be permanent? Maybe not, because you don't want to upset the chemistry.

Beautiful topeka:

Congrats, you've won twerp of the day. How does it feel?

Russrob's injury may be a blessing, as it may give him a game or two rest before the tournament crunch. Give Sherron and Case more minutes during the next two games, and the team will be better off in the long run.

It shouldn't hurt KU's chances, but if Collins and/or Chalmers get into foul trouble, depth could become an issue.
