Do you think the Chiefs have a shot at making the postseason?

Is it legal for a team to threaten receivers?
I don't think the Chiefs have a realistic shot at the postseason, but what do I know -- I watch the Liedowns. Er, Lions.
On second thought, I should know a lot about not making the postseason...

RI, If you want to celebrate mole day, I'll let you come over and take potshots at this one that is tearing up my yard. I will not celebrate this vile little creature with you. But maybe I'll examine any moles I have for size and/or color change.

No. Of course not. Chief's fans are idiots. I mean that in a loving, joking way. This same kind of talk happened after the SF win, which, was also at home. Then they got stomped. They got up early on three 1st quarter turnovers (that does not happen in the NFL... completely flukey) then had to hold on for their lives the rest of the game against a West Coast team playing an early game. 8 wins does not get a team in the playoffs.

The Chiefs or Tines? The Chiefs may not have a chance but Tines might. Then again he is as inconsistent at the Chiefs. If they are going to have a chance then they need to stop playing KU football and dominate both halves of the game.

nope!!!! and i love it!!! i cannot stand the Chiefs or their fans. KC is arguably the worst town in America. People are 20 years behind the rest of the country, KC people always think that people from anywhere else are trying to swindle them. Being from Chicago (a real city) I can say that I have seen real swindling everyday. Kansans in general are pathetic too, my three roomates freshman year (2 from JoCo and one from Russell) thought that the delivery charge for $35 from Gumby's was his tip ($1.50) nor did they want to give him anymore!!!! Anyway, I hope the Chiefs barely miss the playoffs and everyone here is heartbroken. go bears!!!

The Chiefs have a much better chance at making postseason than they have of commandeering my TV.
I will not watch them here or there, I will not watch them anywhere. I will not watch them in the rain, I will not watch them on a train. I will not watch them, margarita in hand, I will not watch them for half a grand. I will not watch Chiefs football games, I will not watch anything that lame.
On to baseball. Go-o-o-o-o, tigers!!!!! One down, three to go.
What's the best way to cook moles--provided one can catch them in the first place? For all the damage they have done to our yard this fall, they. must. be. eaten.
Are moles good with mole sauce? Anyone ever try a mole tamale? Tamole? I await recipes.

ladysilk, I can't let you get away w/ dissin' Tynes. He may have had a couple bad kicks yesterday, but you realize, he normally is anything but inconsistent. For '06, he's tied for the 6th highest ranking kicker in the NFL. For the Chiefs, he is dominated only by Lowery (my man), Stenerud, and he is now tied with Stoyanovich for field goals made over 50 yards. (Those are some pretty impressive names he shares company with.) Give the man his due respect. Respect the Tynes! (And he's not half bad to look at, either!) ;)

I love watching die hard Chiefs fans have all their hopes crushed every year. I used to be one of them -but now I laugh at their chronic failures.
There is a reason why the are nicknamed The "Kansas City Griefs," people.
For all you KC fans out there...

The Chiefs are my second favorite team and I don't think they have a chance of making the playoffs this year. sorry boys, just too many injuries.

betti, I have no idea what was on his hand. Apparently it wasn't a big deal, since there was nothing but a couple manager/umpire conversations. There are Cardinals fans (or conspiracy prophets who don't care about either team) who keep suggesting it was pine tar, but I have a hard time believing Rogers would be that stupid.
And in any case, his hand was clean after the first inning.

agreed sarge. i just find it funny how quickly it becomes a big deal. he continued to pitch well, so i don't think those theorists have a leg to stand on.
teapot--of course. i actually know more about some sports than my boyfriend (had to explain the infield fly rule to him just last night).

betti, to follow up: according to the Detroit News, Rogers said the substance was mud; the Cardinals didn't make a big deal about it, and as you noted, he kept pitching well, so it seems to be a non-issue.
I just want to know how a 41-year-old can pitch like that. My goodness.

Pywacket,
8-10 skinned and eviscerated moles
1 medium green pepper,diced, 4 oz. onion,diced, 1 garlic clove, minced, 2 tsp. chili powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. hot sauce-(Tabasco), 2 cups tomato sauce, 1+1/2 cups chicken bouillon, 1 tbs + 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa- dissolved in 2 tbs. hot water
Broil moles until crispy. Mix the remaining ingredients in a saucepan on top of the stove. Pour over the moles in a roaster. Cover and bake at 350°F for at least 2 hours. After 2 hours, uncover and let it cook for at least another 1/2 hour- this will thicken the sauce. This is best when cooked long and slow and its even better the next day. serve over white rice and with white flour tortillas.

Trinity~ You bring up one of my pet peeves about "questions of the day." How many times have I wished for a "do not care," or "do not follow this" box to check when (for one example) CNN offers up their question of the day and it pertains to some idiot celebrity like Madonna or Paris Hilton or Mel Gibson?
I think if they (every news site that posts such questions) would offer a "do not care" option for their daily questions, they'd get a better idea of what really interests their readers.
And maybe I would get a better idea of just how far from mainstream I am, if I found myself in a tiny minority of "do not cares" to questions such as, "Do you think the Brangelina sheets smell like pork or salmon?" (or mole?)

RI~ OMG--that sounds delish! Now I just have to catch the little buggers and get to work. In case I don't catch enough to feed a weekend crowd, I hope it's okay to substitute squirrel, as we have lots of those around--and they are much larger and easier to catch.
I've previously only eaten squirrel fried, but I'm sure they would broil up nice & crisp. And their pelts & tails make up into such cute hats for the kiddies. They have much more cache than those mole hats with their pathetic stumpy tails.

Count me in on the petition. And what DID he do that would necessitate a ban?
I had a post bumped off once, and that was baffling enough, as it had nothing remotely offensive in it. (Not just my opinion--some of y'all kindly voiced the same opinion.) I would think you'd have to do something REALLY heinous, such as let a fart in Dolph's general direction, to actually get disappeared.

This bob disapearedededed stuff is getting ridiculous, I was thinking of phoning LJW and speaking with someone about it but my long distance bill is rather high right now, so why don't a couple of you Lawrence people phone them and protest, (nicely, of course) . I greatly fear that there are gremlins in the works at LJW.
I heard from bob and he has no idea why they are bumping him.
