Do you enjoy it when college students are out of town for the summer?
Asked at Massachusetts Street on May 24, 2005
“Actually, I kind of like having the students here. Every once in a while the traffic bothers me.”
— Kelly Briggs, registered nurse, Topeka
“Yes. There is less congestion, and it's easier, faster and safer to get around town.”
— Jay Pratt, teacher, Baldwin
“Yes, mainly because of the traffic. Driving today was so nice. I could drive from Sixth Street to 23rd Street in five minutes.”
— Katie Buckner, intern, Lawrence
“I enjoy it when the students are in town, but I also enjoy the break during the summer. It's like living in two different cities.”
— Chris Sook, attorney, Lawrence
