I do not believe in competitve sports. Everyone is a winner. As for the assumption that our local boring basketball team of KU goes far - the games are boring regardless of which school team plays - in my opinion, please don't get too caught up in their success and so-called eventual failure. KU never goes far. Especially the football team.

I caught the TV news and KU lost a close scoring game as usual and always, but I still consider the student players winners. It might be quite possible, even though they are winners, that their loss today becomes a character builder, though I sincerely don't see excuses as to why they are called losers, though in reality winners regardless. I held back my laughter and tried to show real concern as everyone in my extended household had literal heart attacks at the great loss KU received today. It makes me wonder why everyone kept saying KU chokes at clutch time. Perhaps one of you sports fans will let me know what the term "choke" means. It sounds like some kind of violent slang term. Violence is not good, especially when it comes when people and players are supposed to have funtimes. Please don't tell me "choke" is a violent word when applied to basketball or other games of chance and injury.
