“Oh yes. I’m Catholic, and I’m very interested in who it is. That is very important to people all around the world and very important for peace and harmony in the world.”

“No. I don’t really care. I just haven’t paid much attention to the situation.”

“Yes, I think it’s important to see who will be the next leader of the Catholic Church. He’s an important world leader, and his influence affects everyone.”

“No. I’m not Catholic. In fact I’m not religious at all, so I don’t see why I would be interested.”

sure, it may not be important now, but 20 years from now, it will be on a Trivial Pursuit question, and you'll be kicking yourself for not paying attention.

Gee, you don't suppose that after two thousand years of nothing but white popes that the Catholic Church might actually pick a "man of color" as its next pope, do you??

I know! I know! Ask a silly question, right?

Sorry, but I just had to ask that question anyway!
