Will you be disappointed if no one steps up to organize Lawrence’s Christmas parade?

Asked at Borders on September 22, 2004

“Well, sure. Lawrence is such a tight-knit community, you kind of expect that kind of thing to happen.”

“I think I would. It seems a shame to let the tradition go by the wayside because no one will pick up the flag.”

“Absolutely. I really feel like it's a tradition, and I feel like young people miss out on too many traditions already.”

“Yes I will. One thing that we can still believe in these days is Christmas. It's nice to know that there is still love and joy in the world, and that's what the Christmas parade is all about.”
