How are you going to spend Labor Day?
Asked at Hillcrest Shopping Center on September 5, 2004
“Well, I’m probably going to go out to the lake and horse around. I’m going to try to stay out of trouble. You know, try to stay out of jail.”
“I have to work. I probably won’t do much besides that.”
“We are just going to relax at home, maybe have some family over. We really haven’t decided yet.”
“I’m going to watch the KU football and basketball games. Then I’m going to travel to a pub somewhere where I can smoke a cigarette.”

We need to honor all veterans regardless of what our president forces them to do.
I will spend my day meditating.

Well, alright there....Tobin....You stay out of trouble now!....And, hey, Beau....If you plan on smoking a cigarette at a pub somwhere, well then I assume that you're going out of town to do so. 'Cause I know you ain't gonna be able to that sort of thing here in "Larryville"! --Say, why don't you take Tobin with you?---You know, to help keep him out of jail and all. (He might get into some kind of trouble if he stays at the lake too long!) Thanks, pal!

LuLu:
I am all for honoring our vets any day, however I do believe that the tradition is to do that on Memorial Day, not Labor Day. We are supposed to honor all working people (i.e. laborers) on this holiday.

Yeah, Tobin, you better stay out of jail. I can't come up and bail your ass out of jail again! But your bro says have a good time anyways!
