Should Congress issue an official apology to American Indians for the way they have been treated?
Asked at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. on May 27, 2004

“It is probably not an important issue to them right now. They’re not acknowledging jobs or school funding; they’re not going to acknowledge this problem, either.”

“I think a lot of people would appreciate it, especially Native Americans. But they would have to apologize to a lot more people. I’m not for or against it, but it would be controversial.”

“Sure, but it’s way too little way too late. And if Brownback is for it, something must be wrong with it.”

“It’s one of those things where it sounds good, but then what does that mean?”
