Do you think space tourism is on the verge of becoming a possibility?
Asked at Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center on June 22, 2004
“I think they have a lot to overcome yet before they start putting the public on space shuttles.”
“I don’t think it’s practical. It’s too expensive.”
“No. It was $3.75 to get into the pool today, and I think it would be a lot more to go up in space. There’s really not much to do out there except float around, and you can do that in a pool.”
“It seems like it’s a possibility, but there aren’t enough people who can afford it to make it practical.”
