What should the library do with additional money if the city expands its budget?
Asked at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. on June 10, 2004
“I think they should forget a lot of the late charges that discourage kids from getting books because they lost one awhile back. Maybe they could include a site for people to watch movies they have here on site.”
“More public access to computers because that’s a problem here. You have to wrestle people to get to the computers.”
“Bring in more activities for children. Start young.”
“More CDs and an updated video selection.”

How about,, NOT spending more money? I was told we were voting on a library expansion. Now I find out that we voted on a parking garage, and they want to make it even bigger than what was called out in the voting. Is that legal? Can we, re-vote?. Sour Grapes? YES,, Lied to,,,YES . We're paying more for our parking garage,,, OH I mean our library expansion than we did for Free State High School which cost about 7 million more than it should have.
