“Spending quiet time with family, and having time to reflect on the true meaning of the season, which I think the very essence of is spiritual. I think we would have a healthier society if we had and took more time to reflect.”

I was going to do the "one horse open sleigh-thing"...but there was no snow! Oh, well! Also, I hate chestnuts...so there was no "chestnuts roasting by an open fire-thing" either!! And lastly, while at a Christmas keg party way back in the 1980's, someone droped acid in the egg nog bowl...and some chick at the party named Karen freaked out on us! It was scary! She said she swore some alien-like creature was trying to mount her...and something about seeing a skelton waving a confederate flag in the background! ---That whole incident completely turned me off to egg nog! I don't do egg nog anymore!

For me, the best part was singing carols with my family in front of the warm, crackling hearth. I also enjoyed sharing egg nog around the tree, which was festooned with popcorn strings and handmade ornaments. And I umm, well...nevermind. Who am I trying to kid? My holiday was spent sitting alone on the couch getting drunk in front of the TV...again!

Christmas and the New Year brings together family and friends. Its a time to reflect on the past year and what has happened in your life, and what plans you can look forward to in the upcoming year.

I have decided to stay home this New Years and open my daycare for an overnight New Years Party for children, so that their parents who can't get out can this year. This is my gift to all the parents who never get a chance to enjoy alittle time for themselves. I ran my ad in the paper and even posted signs at the local grocery stores.

Happy New Year to all of you and may the 2005 bring all of you the joy and happiness you deserve.

My favorite part of the holidays is right now! Right this very moment! You know why? Because all of them Christmas songs that I've been hearing on the radio and in department stores for the past month are no more!!!!!

THANK GOD!! I hate listening to that damn Christmas music!!! Geez!!!!!
