What have been the long-term effects of the Columbine tragedy?

Asked at Massachusetts Street on April 20, 2004

“It's locked down high schools more. Being around some of the larger high schools, I've seen more authority figures keeping track of the kids. It's kind of scary how things have shifted the other way.”

“I think that there's more serious attention paid to security in schools.”

“I would say that we have an even stronger sense of fear of people, which is sad, especially when it's directed at children.”

“For a couple of years it seemed like they focused on high school violence, but now it just seems like a good reason to make a movie. I don't think the violence or the security have really changed.”
