Barbara Ann Wunsch

Barbara Ann Wunsch, 83, died February 22, 2017, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman. She was born March 19, 1933, at Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of L.W. and Mabel Houser Bateman. A Kingman resident most of her life, she was a homemaker and a former school teacher. Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the United Presbyterian Women, PEO, Originator and director of the Prairie Players, and board member of the Friends of the Library, all of Kingman; the Kansas Humanities Council director, Hall Center of Humanities, a director of the Gold Medal Club, Kansas School of Fine Arts, past President of Delta Gamma Sororiety, University of Kansas Professionals Honors Society, the Fine Arts Friends, all at the University of Kansas, Lawrence; a director of the Stephen Paul Wunsch Foundation for Young Muscians; and was a Foreign Exchange Student host parent. In Oct. of 1960, she married Robert Wunsch in Kansas City, Missouri. Other survivors include a daughter Melissa Tetrick and her husband Bill; grandchildren and their spouses, Will and Jenna Tetrick, Becky and Kale Pickett, Travis Tetrick, and Victoria Tetrick; and great-grandchildren Brynlee and Audrey Tetrick. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son Stephen Paul Wunsch; and grandson Steven Tyler Wunsch. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at the First Presbyterian Church, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Livingston Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
