Donna Gene Webb

Heaven gained a very precious angel, Donna Gene (Eaton) Webb, 89, on May 21, 2015 at her home in Vintage Park, Baldwin City, Kansas. She died peacefully surrounded by family who cared and loved her deeply.
Donna was born in Ellsworth, Kansas on January 31, 1926 the daughter of Rae A. and Edith Mae (Querrey) Eaton.
As a child she attended school in Colorado and Kansas. She moved to Baldwin in 1937. She graduated from Baldwin High in 1943. She started her college education at Missouri University until the war began and then worked for Hallmark Cards. Donna was united in marriage to Fred L. Webb on August 17, 1946 . They shared over 60 years together until his death on February 26, 2007.
After the war Donna helped put Fred through school and to raise their two children. In 1970 she completed her degree in education at Baker University. Donna taught First Grade for 13 years at Baldwin Elementary School and was an influence in many young children’s lives. Her many memberships included First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the church choir, Leisure Club, and P.E.O. Club. Donna Gene loved to play bridge.
Donna Gene’s life was beautifully lived and her heart so deeply loved by those who will remember her most. Her daughter, Marcia O’Neil and husband Roger of Wellsville; a son, Frederick (Rick) L. Webb II and wife Joyce of Olathe; four grandchildren, Lori(Russ ) George, Lacey(Travis) Davis, Tyler(Erin) Webb and Spencer Webb; and eight great grandchildren, Garrett George, Lexi George, Allie George, Haley George, William Davis, Clara Davis, Maxwell Webb and Wyatt Webb.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Baldwin City.
