Marian Yeahpau

Oct. 22, 1957 – June 28, 2015
Marian’s walk through this world ended Sunday in Lawrence.
One of Marian’s best traits was her capcity to judge not persons by superficiality, circumstance, or shortcoming, but to see people in their humanity and goodness.
Marian’s last decade was in no small way threaded by the effects of severe rheumatoid arthritis, but she stitched right back with the threads of her will and determination..
Much of her source for living and loving came in the form of her grandchildren: Gabriel, 12 (whom she raised); Flor, 9; Jose, 6; Arianna, 4; and Andrea, 1 (all of whom she has helped raise).
Marian, a member of the Kiowa tribe, is survived in Oklahoma/Kansas by her daughter Rhonda Yeahpau; mother Flora Yeahpau-Wolfe; siblings Marie Yeahpau, Linda Yeahpau, Donna Yeahpau, Yvonne Yeahpau, Rachel Yeahpau, Judy Beaver, Freda Pahcoddy, Sonny Yeahpau, Rodrick Yeahpau, Jody Yeahpau, Michael Yeahpau and former partner and friend Cliff Phillips. Her father Robert Yeahpau is deceased, as are stepfather Ellis Wolfe and brother Randolph Yeahpau. Marian has a vast array of loving nieces and nephews as well as their offspring, and countless friends in Oklahoma and Kansas. Services: July 3, Apache, OK.
