Esther Elizabeth Moss Wulfkuhle

Esther Elizabeth Moss Wulfkuhle, 88, passed away September 25, 2014 at Pioneer Ridge Health Center in Lawrence. Services will be held on Monday, September 29 at 2pm at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, with visitation preceding the service at 12:30pm.
Esther was born on March 19, 1926 in Topeka to George and Dorothy (Hildenbrand) Moss. Esther married Wesley Wulfkuhle on October 15, 1944 in Topeka. They shared 40 years together until he preceded her in death on May 17, 1985.
Esther was a member of Stull United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for more than 50 years. She was an active member of United Methodist Women and the AJ Chapter of PEO. She was also a 60-year member of the Extension Homemakers Unit, a member of the Lecompton Historical Society, and served in many other volunteer organizations in the Lawrence/Lecompton/Topeka area.
Esther is survived by her two daughters, Noell Memmott (Jay) of Sioux Falls, SD and Karen Wulfkuhle of Roeland Park. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Jenny Memmott (Joseph Hagen) of Prairie Village.
Memorials may be given to the Wesley Wulfkuhle Memorial Fund. The fund, created in 1985, educates young people in rural Mexico for ministry in their local community. Contributions can be sent to the Kansas East Conference United Methodist Church P.O. 4187, Topeka, KS 66604.
