Donald C. Davidson

Donald C. Davidson, age 74, of Baldwin City died May 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1938 in Kansas City, Mo, the son of Clyde F and Mildred M Shull Davidson.
He started with TWA right out of high school in 1956 retiring in 1999 after 42 years of employment.
Donald was united in marriage to Judith A King May 12, 1962 at the First Methodist Church in Baldwin City. She preceded him in death in 2001.
Donald moved to Baldwin City in 1986 from Kansas City, MO. He was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, MO. Other memberships included Chief ‘s Red Coater, Peter Marshall Celebrity Golf Tournament and Chairman and Board member of Ronald MacDonald House.
He enjoyed, golfing, being active in TWA employees club, and visits from his Kansas City friends. He loved his grandchildren and his job with his whole heart.
Donald is survived by three daughters, Toni and her husband Tom Flippin of Blue Springs, MO; Teri and her husband Richard Nichols of Baldwin City; and Tina and her husband Ron Johnson of Baldwin City. One sister, Mary Jo Tanke of Baldwin City and three grandsons; Dallas Nichols
of Baldwin City; Wyatt Flippin of Blue Springs, MO; Levi Nichols of Baldwin City. Two step-granddaughters, Amy Johnson of Osawatomie, KS; and Lindsay-Ryan Russell of Osawatomie. Donald also had many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife; Brother Jerry Davidson and three brothers-in-law.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, from 6-8pm at the Lamb Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin City.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in Oak Wood Cemetery in Baldwin City, KS.
