Thelma Marie Randel

Thelma Marie Randel, age 91, of Baldwin City, died July 1, 2013, at Vintage Park, Baldwin City. She was born March 16, 1922, in Baldwin City, Kansas, the daughter of Earle Lederer and Edith (Newland) Lederer.
She was a lifelong Baldwin City resident and attended Baldwin High School and was a member of the Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, and Ives Chapel United Methodist Women of Baldwin City.
Thelma was a lifelong Homemaker.
On March 29, 1941, Thelma was united in marriage with Bill Randel. Bill preceded her in death on January 26, 2003.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dee Ann Augustus; three brothers, Arley Lederer, John Lederer, Glen Lederer; and a sister, Doris Blevins.
Thelma is survived by her daughter; Jeanie Frank, Wellsville; four sons, Lee Randel, Baldwin City, Gary Randel, Orlando Florida, Ron Randel, Baldwin City, Wayne Randel, York, Pennsylvania; sister, June Pine, Lawrence; sister-in-law, Carol Randel, Lawrence; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2013, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
Mrs. Randel ‘s family will meet with friends from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service, Friday afternoon at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City.
