Richard L. Schellhorn

Graveside services for Richard L. Schellhorn, 99, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stull Cemetery, west of Lawrence, with the Rev. Judy Long O’Neal officiating.
Mr. Schellhorn died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1911, in Douglas County, the son of Carl and Almira Flory Schellhorn.
Mr. Schellhorn was a farmer and worked at Lawrence Paper Company for many years, retiring in 1973. After he retired from the paper company, he continued farming until 1998. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church of Lawrence.
He married Edith S. Houk on May 13, 1933, in Olathe. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2001.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd; a sister, Marguerite Woodcock; and a daughter-in-law, Frieda Schellhorn, on June 5, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Carl R., Topeka; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
