Etta Mae Pulliam

Services for Etta Mae Pulliam, 64, Lexington, Okla., will be at 7 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Services also are planned at 1 p.m. Thursday at Creek Chapel in Okemah, Okla. Burial will follow at Jimboy Family Cemetery in Okemah.Mrs. Pulliam died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka.She was born April 27, 1942, in Tahlequah, Okla., the daughter of Jewett and Cora Anderson Jimboy. She graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah in 1961 and attended Haskell Indian Nations University.Mrs. Pulliam worked as a dormitory residential supervisor at Haskell for 30 years.She was a member of United Church of God in Oklahoma City. She also was a member of the Creek and Seminole Nations of Oklahoma.She married Elliott Pulliam on March 18, 1971, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Michael Jimboy and Matthew Pulliam, both of Lawrence; three brothers, Thomas Jimboy, Lawrence, Edwin Jimboy, Lexington, Okla., and Reuben Jimboy, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Louise Holden, Lawrence, and Norma Jean Beaver and Augustine McMann, both of Okemah; and 11 grandchildren.Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the mortuary.E-mail condolences may be sent to info@warrenmcelwain.com, subject: Pulliam.
