Fatal accident involving bus closes parts of I-70

The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 from Kansas City, Kan., to Tonganoxie were closed Sunday after a fatal, multiple-vehicle accident near Tonganoxie that involved a bus, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.
The accident, roughly 2 miles east of the Leavenworth County Road 1 exit, was first reported at 3:38 p.m., a KTA dispatcher told the Journal-World via phone. He said one person died in the crash.
The westbound lanes of I-70 were still closed as of 10:50 p.m., according to a tweet from the KTA.
No other details were available by 10:50 p.m. Sunday. Check back as this story develops.
