Running for Team USA at the Great Edinburgh XCountry Challenge on Saturday, Emily Venters took 10th place in the 19-and-under junior women’s 4K race in Scotland.

Venters, a former standout at Free State High, finished fourth among American runners in 14:34. It was Venters’ first time representing the United States.

Kelsey Chmiel, from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., won the race in 14:10. Great Britain won the team title by one point over USA.
