Veritas Christian’s baseball team answered Midland’s six-run top of the first with a four-spot in the home half of the frame, but the Eagles’ offense fizzled after that in a 10-4 loss to the Monarchs on Friday.

The Eagles (7-8) will play next against Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Orlis Cox Complex in Ottawa.
